Microwave Cavity Needs Repair Due to Arcing, peeling, or scorching

Microwave Cavity Needs Repair Due to Arcing, peeling, or scorching
This term is used to describe the sparks produced in the Microwave. They can be caused by metals or foils touching the interior or back side of the Microwave or metals being used inside the Microwave. You should always read your Owner’s Manual before using your Microwave. Microwaves can be damaged by excessive arcing.

Hole In The Microwave Interior

The damage to the microwave cavity wall is irreparable. It’s best to stop using it if you find a hole. The Microwave can cause a hole by arcing. This may lead to additional arcing when it is used. It is recommended that you replace the Microwave if it has a hole. Minor scratches in the Microwave’s cavity interior coating will not affect its performance.

Interior Coating or Paint Peeling or Flaking

The Microwave should be replaced if it is damaged. The Microwave can’t be repaired. The coating on our Microwave ovens has been selected for safe food contact. It meets both our requirements and those of the applicable governments. Our Microwave Ovens do not use lead or toxic materials in the cavity coating. Small amounts of peeling paint that are accidentally consumed do not pose a health risk. We do not have a repair method approved for scratches, chips, or burns to the interior coating.
