After selling over one million refrigerators, they ventured into the international market, with refrigerator production reaching over 2.5 million units by 1932 and surging to six million by 1941. In 1947, they expanded their product line to include laundry appliances.

The spirit of innovation persisted as Frigidaire introduced the first automatic defrosting refrigerator in 1952. In 1964, the company proudly presented the jet action washer with a roller – a revolutionary automatic mechanism devoid of belts, pulleys, or gears, making significant contributions to the industry. In 1979, White Consolidated Industries acquired the company from General Motors, and in 1986, AB Electrolux of Sweden received it from WCI. 1991, the company underwent further expansion and exposure under AB Electrolux, taking on a new tagline and logo. Frigidaire has announced its appointment to head up its Famous Brands Group, which includes Kelvinator, Gibson, Euro Flair, White-Westinghouse, and Tappan.
