The GE Microwave button is not working

GE Microwave Touchpad & Control Panel

Press each button on the control panel to determine if they are defective. Replace the touchpad and the control panel if some buttons work correctly, but others do not.

Press each button on the control panel to determine if your touchpad is defective. Replace the touchpad if some buttons work correctly but others do not.

GE Microwave User Control and Display Board

Press each button on the control panel to determine if it is defective. Replace the user control board if none of the buttons respond correctly.

GE Microwave Main Control Board

Try pressing the buttons on your control panel. If all the buttons don’t respond appropriately, the main controls may be defective.

GE Microwave Control Board

To test if the board is defective, press the front panel’s buttons. The control panel may be defective if you cannot push any of the buttons.


Reset control board

If you have trouble with the controls, try resetting the control board. Unplug the microwave for about 10 seconds and then plug it back in.

GE Microwave Door Switch

You can use a digital multimeter to check the electrical continuity of the door switches if none are working. If more than one switch tests negative for continuity, that switch should be replaced.

GE Microwave Micro Switch

Test the door switches with a digital multimeter for continuity. If more than one switch tests negative for continuity, that switch or switches need to be replaced.
